Entry Now Open For The Third Middle East Lighting Design Awards

The Middle East Lighting Design Awards (MELDA ) will honor the outstanding and innovative lighting design taking place across the Middle East .

Cutting-edge, dynamic and ground-breaking projects are being built in this fast-paced and exciting environment, the night-time image of these buildings as enhanced by lighting is of huge importance, but makes up only a percentage of lighting design projects, with three new categories now added for 2009 the awards are now open to the larger design community.

MELDA  is a unique event that draws attention to the high level of creativity and technical skill of the world's leading lighting designers in enhancing the region's built environment through the power of light.

MELDA continues to recieve full support by the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD), and (LUCI) Lighting Urban Community International.

MELDA now sets a benchmark for international standards of excellence which will be instantly recognisable and will generate valuable publicity and marketing.

Judged by an independent and broad-based panel, winners of MELDA will be presented at an extravagant Gala dinner held on the 27th April 2008, attended by the world’s leading lighting designers, and senior professionals involved in the delivery of the region's major projects.
